Welcome to the Touching the soul YouTube Hop! I can't wait to show you how this galaxy-themed mixed media Moon Magic art journal page came into being! You will need to gather up your acrylic paints, pencils, Lindy's sprays, stencils and texture pastes for this one! I'll show you how to make a Galaxy background and then how to make art on top! I have to admit there were a few challenges, but I found ways to get around the issues and will be sharing my tips so you can do the same.

So what is the Touching the soul YouTube Hop - well basically 29 Amazing artists have joined forces to show you what is hidden in their souls, sharing their techniques and skills on YouTube (more details at the end of this post including the Hop order and sponsor details)! 

For me I used some of my most treasured supplies - you know I adore my Lindy's, so I began with those and added texture, metallics, stenciling and finished by adding a drawing over the top incorporating some of my own artwork from a previous project and the image of a moon.  I kept the whole thing really stylised and bold as this is usually something I'm a bit scared to do - but this project needed SOUL so I decided to really just go for it.  I hope you like the ideas I'm about to show you oxox

Now let me show you what I have made for you all, you know I love a good galaxy background and I've made a few of these over the years (Watercolor Galaxy Background and Galaxy Feather) but this one is the first I've painted or drawn on top of!  There were a few challenges when trying to draw over metallics, waxed and texture - but I have included my Number 1 tip for dealing with this in the video - you will not believe how easy it is to draw over the top of the beautiful Lindy's sprays!
