Fan Friday - Crafting the Web by Theresa Momber

Welcome to Fan Friday, today's inspiration is Crafting the Web created by Theresa Momber.  Theresa's art makes me let out a sigh of deep appreciation every time I see it - she is truly the 'Queen of Sponging' - just nip over and have a look at the truly beautiful cards and step-by-step tutorials over on her blog: Crafting the Web

I first stumbled across Theresa's blog when looking for ideas to use with my nature stamps, and while I found many good ideas on her blog to use with these, Theresa has shown me that sponging can be used for so much more. Theresa is a busy lady, being part of both the Spellbinders and Gina K design teams - she creates stunning art using products from each company and even works as an illustrator for Gina K - so you can actually buy stamps she has created.  I also need to mention that Theresa uses Copic markers to colour many of her images, and she does an amazing job of colouring, truly inspirational.

Some of my personal favourite pieces from Theresa's recent posts are below, though you can't really appreciate these until you see the step-by-step tutorials for creating each piece that are on Theresa's blog (click on a photo to go there and have a look).

Blooming-Thanks

For me this giraffe card is a perfect example, soft subtle seamless blending of  colours, the high drama of the scene, soft background images in contrast with the focal images, the added elements of embossing that really just make this card special.
