3rd Anniversary for Sparkle Tart Blog!

I've just had my 3 year Blog Anniversary - woohoo.  I can't believe how things have grown and changed in such a short amount of time, the pace of things really surprises me some days.  I'd had a web site before I moved over to my much loved TypePad blog, I found maintaining the site very time consuming - this blog is so much easier to create, maintain and honestly find your way around - so thank you TypePad :O)

Apart from the welcome, my very first post was on Alcohol inks - I mentioned how the Ranger Alcohol inks were my favourite product and I shared the following Clean and Simple (CAS) card....

Wow how things have now changed!  While the Ranger Alcohol inks are still up there in my favourites, they have been knocked off the pinnacle by 2 clear winners - Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays and Copic Markers.  I can barely create these days without using one of both of these products and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Since Feb 2010 when I began this blog, I have made new friends, participated in several amazing Design Teams, appeared as a Guest Designer, discovered new products and exciting new ways to create art.  I have become addicted to journaling, have taken soooo many online classes I dare not list them all and had a ball.  I've been diagnosed with 2 auto immune diseases, had a bone transplant and developed Deep Vein Thrombosis.  Why mention those last bits?  Well because i's amazing how clear some things become when you're told you will have challenges for the rest of your life.  I made new friends whom I cherish, and discovered the amazing depths of friendship offered by old friends, I discovered what was important in my life and learned a little more about who I wanted to be and how I wanted to live.  It really clarified what I want to do and what I enjoy - so in that respect I can be thankful for those little obstacles in life.

Lucky for you all what I want to do is share, teach and make art - for myself or others, paid or unpaid, what is important in my life (other than family which goes without saying!) is the ability to share and connect, to see someone else's eyes light up with enjoyment, with fun, with new knowledge.  So with renewed enthusiasm, energy and focus I dive into 2013 and I can't wait to share a bunch of new ideas with you all.
