OK - I just found the best score in the rubbish bin at work - yes I know that sounds really yucky!  I've been wanting to do an altered suitcase for ages now, I saw something created by Tim Holtz, I can't remember what right now, but it sparked an idea in my head, ever since a steampunk altered suitcase has been on my To-Do list.  I was so excited to snag this - the case is wood covered in real leather, it has brass fittings and is still in working order, the stitching is in excellent condition and it is a perfect size to use with loads of room inside. 

As an extra bonus it has this natty little insert which attaches to the top of the case and when opened it has loads of neat little leather pouches perfect for scissors, tools, bottles etc..


Now all that's required is a good clean, prep, paint, alter and use - oh and I REALLY need to do something about the smell - yikes!
