Success, Life & Saying Thankyou!
Dear Santa - Define Naughty - LaBlanche Stamped Card

Special Delivery using Present Fairy from Miranda's Card Creations!

You know how some projects just sort of come together without  lot of fiddling - well this was one of them.  I generously received this image via Paper Creations Ink Challenge Blog, provided for use by the fabulous Miranda van den Bosch and after I created the Magical Mica background - all the rest sort of fell in to place.  The background led to the Copic colours in the image, I used the same colours on the flowers as I used for the background and with a little purple Pan Pastel and a little green Brilliance ink this card all came together and I have to say I'm rather in love with this one :O)

  • Bazzill card in lilac, purple and green

 What I did:

  1. Create Magical Mica over Versamark ink background as seen in the following clip.

  2. Mount Magical background (large piece) onto co-ordinating green Bazzill card.
  3. Using Hero Arts Fabulous Flourish, ink with Pearlescent Thyme Brilliance ink and stamp onto smaller piece of Magical Mica coloured card, repeat until covered with stamped design.  When ink has dried, glue horizontally across the middle of the large Magical background.
  4. Place a brad on each corner of large Magical background and then glue this 'base' to purple Bazzill card.
  5. Print 'Present Fairy' onto XPress It Blending card using laser printer.  Colour image with Copic markers according to colour combo guide below:
    Skin - E00, E02, R20 + Blender
    Hair - YR31, R12, Blender and Bv000 (add BV000 last as a shadow)
    Top of Dress - V01, V12, V15, V17 and B21
    Dress (Skirt) - V12, V15, V17, B21, B23 & B26
    Box - C0, C1, C3, B00 and Blender
    Ribbon on Box - YG00, YG03 & YG17
At this point, leave the background white.
  6. Glue the green and purple ribbon horizontally across the centre of all base layers and glue Copic coloured image on top as seen in photo.
  7. Using a ruler, mark on the image background the position of the ribbon, using a piece of card with holes punched, trace holes onto drawn ribbon about where they appear on the real ribbon.
  8. Colour drawn ribbon with Copic Spica pens and leave to dry.
  9. Apply Pan Pastel to white background areas of coloured image.
  10. Cut leaves and swirls using die - Vine with Leaves, die cutting machine and plain white paper.  Use brilliance ink to colour die cut shape - I just tapped the pad all over the paper until covered - let dry and adhere to base layer of card as shown.
  11. Spray California Poppy Gold Starburst to small rose buds and leave to dry.
  12. For larger roses (I used 3 larger roses in total), spray with lots of water, spritz centre of flower with California Poppy Gold and then spray 'near' lower petals with Witch's Potion Purple Starburst - the water and capillary action will draw some of the colour onto the lower petals, but the colour will be muted.  To finish off larger flowers dip water brush into Jazzy Jivin Magicals and then brush lightly across tip of petals.  Add a little more water and leave overnight to dry.
  13. To create different sized blooms - put 2 large roses aside - leave these whole.  To create the other 2 flowers carefully remove the lower 2 layers of petals from single remaining rose - the 'centre' will form one additional flower, set this aside.  Using fingers, shape petals and glue remaining 2 layers together to form a sort of semi open rose.  There you have it - different sizes and colour co-ordinated blooms.
  14. Using Glossy Accents, glue flowers onto card ontop of the green vines and leaves, accent with a tiny bit of Stickles.
  15. Add metal word and a few adhesive crystals to embellish.
  16. As the final touch accent some areas with white Smooch paint, I added to present, hair and dress.
  • Copic colouring
  • Flower bunch 2
  • Magical mica background
