Copic Watercolour Effects

Using Copic markers for Watercolour effects is quick, fun and results are different each time! Uvs110308-001  This is a great technique for a super quick thank you card, gift tag or background.

What I used:

  • Copic Various ink refill - '0' Blender ink
  • Mini Mister bottle
  • X-PressIt Blending Cardstock
  • Additional card stock to mount
  • Black adhesive Pearls
  • Versamark Watermark ink pad
  • Black embossing powder
  • Stamps from Tim Holtz:Branches  U1-1542 & Journey
  • Copic Markers: V17 & G

What I did:

  1. Half fill Mini-Mister with Blender ink and make sure cap is firmly tightened.
  2. Colour directly onto the rubber stamp (Branches) using Copic markers (don't worry about being too precise here as it really won't matter).
  3. Trim X-PressIt card stock to required size and place on a non-absorbant surface (like a craft mat or baking paper), spritz 3 times with Mini-mister and moving quickly, mist Copic coloured stamp with Mini-mister (the more blender ink you spritz on - the more 'misty' the final result).
  4. Quickly stamp image onto still damp card, remove stamp and let image dry.
  5. Stamp 'Journey'  using Versamark ink pad and emboss with black embossing powder (use heat gun to set).
  6. Mount onto co-ordinating card and embellish with black adhesive pearls.
